This feature is available as an account feature upgrade, for those wishing to communicate with a user group base via a simple to use
interface they can use themselves, or have us take care of it for them.
Since this is a
self-maintainable module (meaning something you the user will maintain), you should have some of the following characteristics
if you are considering having BigTime adding and integrating this feature
to your domain:

Mailing Lists is an intuitive, web-based e-mail list management system that provides an easy way to maintain
communication with your client base via email. They can be as simple as gathering an email address for
future mailings to as complex as gathering full information on the visitor including the name, address, phone number etc...
The amount and type of information you gather is only limited by your imagination. You can have as many mailing lists as you want on your domain (providing you have the space of course), allowing you to manage your contacts
by organized groups.
Once integrated it is a seemless looking technology that plugs right into your template.

Our Mailing Lists are compliant with the US CAN-SPAM law and employ a double opt-in feature
to protect the privacy of email address owners. It also has the ability to support the The Habeas Warrant Mark, a special set of email headers that mark an mailing list message as legitimate. You'll need a license to use these headers for your mailing list, available from Habeas itself. Misuse of these headers, and Mailing Lists in general, has lead to court dates, large fines and jail time.

This feature relies on perl scripting.
All your visitors have to do is enter their email address in a simple form and click a button.
Although the basic unit is an email address, this form is very customizable and
has the ability to interact with a MySQL database and include any number of things.
The subsciption process goes something like this:
- Visitor enters their email address
- Is there such a list? (yes - if no they are told)
- Is it a valid email address? (yes - if no they are told)
- Are they already subscribed? (no - if yes they are told)
- Accepted and confirmation email sent
- Visitor receives email and clicks through a URL to confirm
- Subscription successful
At this pint the subscriber is sent a welcoming message with information about the list,
and instructions on how to unsubscribe in the future.
The program itself is a sophisticated program, but
a hallmark of this script is its usability and ease of administration. Each list
created is administrated by its own control panel.
All common tasks can be administrated using this control panel.
Some of the things you can do within this interface are:
- Send an invitation to join the list
- E-mail list sending (including a test to yourself first)
- Send a webpage
- Change list information (Description, Privacy Policy,etc..)
- Delete your list
- Set options to announce only or group list
- View, add or remove subscribers
- Message archiving
There are also a host of appearance management tools built in that allow the module
to plug right into your site template. This will be taken care of here on this end prior to final release to you, so will not need to worry about any of that.

Mailing lists incur a one time set up fee charge of $350 for this feature to be integrated within your domain.
You will have an unlimited amount of mailing lists provided you have the disc space available. This will be fully MySQL integrated for bounce processing.
If you require additional lists a small fee may be incured for template wrapping.
In addition there may be a change in your hosting tier package, depending on what package you currently have.
You will be provided a detailed help file via a .pdf when you sign up for this feature.
This file will explain basic usage. Support is always available, but
advanced support will be credited towards your pre-paid package of hours.
