Interactivity has always been an integral part of the Web, letting the user and site communicate through the exchange of information. Forms allow us to collect input from users in an organized, predetermined fashion, and have always been sort of an “anything goes” area when building websites.
Web forms can be used for a variety of purposes from a simple contact us form, to online registrations, surveys, polls, logins, guestbooks, content retrieval, online payments and more!
In the very simplest of terms, forms are a method of data collection. Web forms help your business streamline and reduce labor costs by replacing processes that would typically take additional resources and a substantial amount of time.

This feature relies on a technology referred to as Common Gateway Interface (CGI). The easiest way to explain it is this:
In your stored files on the server there is a small file that is used to handle submissions from a particular form. When a user hits the submit button that information is sent to that small program, and then handled according to what you've programmed it to do. This might be to email you and everyone in the sales department all of the fields that were submitted, it may be to post the information to a database for storage and later retreval, it may do both.

Almost every website I build has a form. On this website there is a form to search my site. There is also a form to login and a form for support.

Each form is unique in and of itself. Forms start at $50 for a simple Contact Us form to Email and go up from there.
The more complex your form, the longer it will take me to code, and the higher the cost.
To give you a better idea on complex forms, a standard 1 database function, which includes input, modification, and viewing is a three page module that usually runs at a standard
$250 per module.
In addition there may be a change in your hosting tier package, depending on what package you currently have.
Support is always available, but
advanced support will be credited towards your pre-paid package of hours.
